My Method of Self Healing

My Method of Self-Healing

Self-healing was and has been an unconscious process for me, for the most part, until I recently began to track my energy during that process and become able to understand what the energy is doing. For me, this process is mostly done unconsciously, but can become learned and therefore automatic. I do it all day, every day. Sometimes it works better than other times, but the overall effects are both empowering and permanent.
The issue is usually psychological/emotional so I meditate on the issue and it effects me:

  1. First in the First Chakra – I think about how the issue is affecting my physical wellbeing – that am/was I injured? Will I be able to take care of myself and my daughter? Do I have food and shelter? These fears all relate to physical needs.
  2. Then in the Second Chakra- I think about how the issue is affecting me emotionally- am I being honored as part of the group? Am I too afraid to support a relationship? Do I feel guilty or drained in a relationship? Am I taking care of myself emotionally by loving and honoring myself? These fears all relate to emotional needs.
  3. Then in the Third Chakra – I think about how the issue is affecting my personal power. Is this issue affecting my confidence and ability to motivate myself? Am I being overshadowed by this and thereby unable to advance myself? These fears all relate to personal empowerment needs.
  4. Then in the Fourth Chakra- I think about how the issue is affecting my heart. Is this issue related to a problem with my heart? Does my heart need to grow or is it too vulnerable? Do I love myself? Am I surrounding myself with loving people?
  5. Then in the Fifth Chakra- I think about how the issue is affecting my ability to speak the truth, and how I feel about what I am saying
  6. Then in the Sixth Chakra- I think about whether the issue has affected my spiritual/conceptual understanding of life. On this level, I am forced to acknowledge the issue, and my role in it, within the context of my Higher Self, and my mental constructs of spirituality are tested.
  7. Then in the Seventh Chakra- I think about how the issue affects my relationship with my Higher Power (God).

This process of healing is done automatically and unconsciously, and must be redone for each chakra. In other words, first I focus on the energy of my first chakra (see chakras). Then I go through the procedure listed above. When that chakra is flowing strongly enough, I move the second. I go through the procedure again until the chakra flows strongly. Then I move to the third, and so on.

Pendulums
Sometimes I use a clear quartz crystal pendulum to help remove the negative energy and help the chakra spin faster. The pendulum can be other stones, but clear crystals are known to be the most powerful healing tools. Barbara Brennon (Hands of Light- see Bookstore) refers to the strength of crystals as being like the equivalent of an “etheric knife” on the energetic field. This is because the crystal- a pure natural clear and beautiful object- has the power to contain lower vibrations. When the lower vibrations are removed, and prayer is applied, the higher vibrations come in. When I try to do more formal healing techniques on myself, I try to connect with my spirit guide- because I cannot do any kind of healing alone.

Support
That is partially why the connection to a spiritual Higher Power is important- because you need support! As you heal more and more, the need for this spiritual connection will become more urgent. I have known many people with “issues” related to religion and church- and some of the issues are huge- but to me it seems that the spirit world is hardly punitive. In fact, if we want to be hateful or cruel- we can. But we will not attract any other souls to us if we choose that path- either in this plane or in higher planes. We will be utterly alone- and that is the only real “hell” I believe in.
If we choose a healing path, though, we attract souls. In fact, we really attract souls! People are attracted to healthy people. Even studies done on physical attractiveness imply that health itself is one of the biggest factors in attraction. This is because, on some deeply subconscious level, we are all looking for healthy partners to reproduce with and thus have healthy children, and carry on the lineage, species, etc. We also attract people on every other level as well. We love people, and they feel it. They love us back. With confidence, we can do anything we want. This is because what we want has been aligned with what the divine world wants…and therefore all of our dreams can be granted.

Extreme Attitudes
I get frustrated with people who feel they need to sacrifice pleasure and abundance for the sake of healing- or take ANY kind of a rigid attitude towards healing. This is along the lines of learning to only heal people that truly want to be healed- (by you).  People often believe they need to go straight to sacrifice in order to heal. This is not true. It is simply not true. Abundance, pleasure, beauty, success…these are not things that the divine world really wants to deprive us of. Only things that we are unhealthily addicted to, and things that harm us physically, should be avoided. Even with these kinds of addictions, an extreme attitude is not appropriate when healing. It just doesn’t work. Only gentle, encouraging healing is appropriate. If you feel that you are setting yourself up for failure when healing, than it may be time to re-evaluate your own intuitive concepts of healing,. Is your healing in accordance to YOUR intuition, or someone else’s? Are your concepts ones that you have bonded with personally or are you following a group? There is nothing wrong with reading and talking and using external information to help you build your own personal foundation of concepts- but I do recommend creating a personal foundation of concepts of some kind. This is because it is only YOUR intuition, and the help of YOUR spirit guide that will give you the VERY SPECIFIC INFORMATION THAT YOU NEED TO HEAL. The more you learn, and the more you practice meditation, the more specific messages you will get. And believe me- they are not necessarily what you or society may think! Anyone who knows me knows that I take an independent approach to life, and healing. I like to read others’ material and also develop my own at the exact same time. When a strong personal spiritual connection is developed, healthy attitudes and eventually habits will develop. There is some reason to believe that there is a connection between astral projection and vegan diets, as many dreamers are becoming vegans. Again, I believe that this is to be approached moderately. As we become healthier and more mindful, we gradually and naturally lose the cravings for fats and then meats. (as you can see, I take the painless approach to healingJ).

To learn to function at higher levels of vibrations, you must be willing to move outside and beyond your group!  (See The Caroline Myss- Audio Collection- Bookstore) It is impossible to maintain all the expectations of society, your family, your social worlds, AND the spiritual world all at the same time. This means that, as you deepen your spiritual connection and heal more and more, you may no longer relate to some people and you may find yourself relating more to other people! You may wish to retreat into solitude for a while. But relationships do not need to be terminated- only changed. It is tougher with groups, families, etc. (Caroline Myss calls them TRIBES) You have a defined role and you are not supposed to transcend it according to group expectation. However, these expectations are outdated for you and must be discarded.
Groups as a whole are attractive but grow too slowly. (See the Caroline Myss Audio Collection-Bookstore) When you embark on a spiritual path- it must be personal to a degree. Healing always starts with the personal and moves to the impersonal- because this is the essence of healing itself.
