astralpage:Lucid Dreaming

To most people, the concept of lucid dreaming is relatively vague. Most people agree that it is a form of consciousness one can maintain while asleep. However, beyond that, there is not much consensus on what it actually. My theory is that the lucid dream state is the first dimension we travel to when begin to astral project, and it is related to the other dimensions we travel to when we actually exit our bodies. The theories in this website are a combination of learned material and personal theories-supported by material referred to in the “references” section of this site and sold in the book store (check out the bookstore).

Many people have had experiences of feeling “awake” in the middle of a dream, or being deep asleep but consciously aware of things around them- including having full visual and auditory senses. This is the lucid dream state, and the beginning of astral projection.

One way to develop a state of awareness while falling asleep is to pay close attention to the moments of sleep paralysis- when we lose the ability to feel or control our bodies but we are still fully conscious- when and if you have them. Often these experiences occur just as you notice yourself drifting off to sleep.

To some people, these are very uncomfortable moments. They can be quite frightening if experienced within a nightmare. However, when fear of such types of experiences is controlled, lucid dreaming can unlock the door to a whole new world and category of sensory experiences.

If you are dreaming and you find yourself aware, you can begin to control your dreams and this is a state of conscious dreaming.

You can also develop strong meditation skills to achieve this same state- although this is not normally called “lucid dreaming”, but “astral projection”, “dream traveling” or “traveling the astral plane.” It is unclear to me whether these are simply two very different routes to the same spiritual state or whether they are different dimensions. (the ‘astral plane’ is connected to the fourth chakra while the ‘celestial’ plane is connected to the sixth)

One thing is clear- when one is consciously dreaming either in the daytime or the night, the line between dreams and reality will get fuzzier. Ready to learn more? Learn the basics of the technique by starting here:
