astralpage:Projection Projection happens when your astral body leaves your physical body. A loud, buzzing or crackling staticky sound accompanies the experience -and then it feels like a wonderful release of energy. It is fun to experience and explore. How far you let the experience is really up to you. The first few experiences are usually only limited to fear and lack of control of your "astral energy." Lucid dreaming is another form of projection in that we project unconsciously and seem to "wake up" within our dreams. Astral projection, I imagine, is more commonly associated with the process of conscious projection. You're either waking up in a dream or dreaming into dream. It is up to oneself what to do after entering into the astral realm. Most of the time I have gotten there by accident- when I am trying the least to do it. After this happened several times I became interested in studying it. Mostly, I seem to like to fly and jump into the air higher and higher. After a difficult conscious projection experience, I wound up as a tiny baby in a womb for about one second before jumping back in my body. Those experiences, like many things in the astral plane, have certain spiritual and psychological connations. The experience always seems to feel incredibly liberating and rejuvenating, while comforting somehow at the same time. There is alot of interest being generated in this phenomenon and many people are interested in learning more and making these concepts easier to digest. I think this is a good thing. Often people have more AP experiences than they care to admit, and they experience a sense of fear when they realize something funny is going on, and then retreat immediately back into their bodies. It is not necessary to be a spiritually-oriented person to AP. It is done by all kinds of people, in many different cultures, and has been done for thousands of years.
